Ground Penetration Radar Mine Detection System
 Westminster International's Groundscanner-V is an advanced GPS Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system that has been developed for the detection of buried explosive land mines.
The Groundscanner-V offers the most advanced scanning technology with high imaging resolution. Groundscanner-V can be used to detect the following buried explosive devices:
- Anti-Personnel Mines;
- Anti-Tank Mines;
- Pipe Bombs;
- Cluster Bombs;
- Other buried unexploded bombs.
Groundscanner-V Field Operation
Groundscanner-V comes as an attachment that can be fitted to a vehicle such as a tractor, Jeep, Quad bike etc. The control system of Groundscanner-V is installed to the vehicle, whilst the scanning section can be hitched or unhitched as required.
The operator drives the vehicle along a systematic route along the area that requires scanning. As the vehicle slowly travels forward, the scanner array penetrates the ground ahead of it with its advanced GPR (ground penetrating radar) signal. The results of the scan are then relayed in real time on the monitor that is located inside the vehicle.
Groundscanner-V Controller
 The Groundscanner-V controller is a modular digital radar control unit with multi-channel functionality; the base unit comes standard with two hardware channels (4 data channels). This allows connection of two separate antennas for simultaneous data collection whilst also providing a third “virtual antenna”. By adding optional expansion units, the system can be expanded to eight hardware channels (16 data channels) to operate up to eight individual antennas.
Groundscanner Analyzer Unit
The Groundscanner-V is an integrated radar control unit, fitted directly on the shielded antenna and powered externally from the vehicle. The shielded antenna offer twin transmission of 500MHz and 800 MHz. The combination of the twin frequency antennas allows for maximum depth detection coverage and substance identification/ resolution. The built-in auto stacking function secures best data quality at maximum survey speed.
Groundscanner-V Software Engine
 Groundscanner-V Pro-Vision is a Windows based data acquisition software platform. The software’s primary function is data acquisition, but also includes tools for filtering, printing of GPR data and includes support for multi-channel operation.
The Groundscanner-V Pro-Vision software offers an easy-to-use user interface, complete with file management, printing and other key features. Each measurement and its associated settings are stored in files. Filtering can be performed during data acquisition measurements, or afterwards during post-processing. Groundscanner-V Pro-Vision supports GPS coordinate logging during measurement. All radar-grams can be printed as such, or post-processed by further software.
