Anti-Terrorism and Risk Reduction
|
Panic Rooms
Panic or safe rooms are often associated with politicians,
celebrities, industrialists and other high risk personalities but
more and more people today are now realising the value of such
protection within their homes and place of work.
Panic rooms are therefore now becoming commonplace around the
world as a safe haven from intruders, kidnap and terrorist attack.
Westminster's experience and extensive range of products and
services is unrivalled in this respect and Westminster can assist
with the design and implementation of a suitable scheme for any
premises and in total confidence.
Blast Containment Systems |
Westminster offer a number of blast containment products and
systems, from small systems for use in offices and post rooms to
provide safe containment of postal bombs to large scale mobile
containments systems capable of isolating over sized baggage at
airports, etc.
The systems also offer a further benefit in containing
fragmentation that will form essential forensic evidence.
All models are based on units tested at a UK Ministry of
Defence Test Facility. These independent trials have shown that,
for a range of explosive charge sizes, the reduction in over
pressured free air and blast containment was 90%. |

Westminster also offer a range of stylish and blast-proof
litter bins for use in high value facilities such as airports,
railway stations, government buildings and corporate offices, etc.
Litter bins have long been a chosen method of concealment for
terrorist bombs which add to the fragment and blast threat. These
specialist devices can be tailored for specific requirements and
independent testing has demonstrated a performance level that
defeats the perceived threat.
In addition to Blast Containment Systems Westminster also offer
a range of specialist and bespoke Blast Protection Systems to
protect vehicles from ballistic and mine threats, armoured vehicles and systems
to provide blast protection to walls, rooms and even machinery, etc. |
