Smokecloak
Whilst a well designed, installed and operated security system will provide a
substantial deterrent to crime and detect any attempted intrusion there are
situations where loss can still occur with speed. In such circumstances a
method of delay must be introduced to slow any potential theft in progress and
give time for police etc. to arrive.
Such a delay could be achieved by physical protection such as bars
and grills etc. but far better if this could be done without creating
a 'prison' like environment.

Any Westminster International System can be fitted with an integrated
Smokecloak device either from new or retro-fitted to existing
installations.
Imagine an intruder has just activated - unknowingly - your company's
new Smokecloak device. While you read quietly to the end of this
sentence (and he tries to understand what's happening), the room
around him will have begun to fill with a dense, harmless, immobilising
cloak of smoke.
By the time you reach the end of this next sentence - even if
you're hurrying - he will be very hard pressed to see an accomplice
standing just two feet away.
And by the time you've completed this first page, the whole chamber
- and one or more very baffled intruders - will be enveloped by your
Smokecloak. Safely. Securely. Completely.
Designed to be fully integral with modern detection systems, and
put on 'standby' when switching on the burglar alarm, Smokecloak is
targeted at the crucial minutes between a system triggering - and
security personnel arriving.
 When activated,
Smokecloak discharges an impenetrable fog-like white smoke- instantly.
By disorientating intruders and enveloping the entire area, it makes
further progress into the protected sector impossible.
The smoke is generated by passing a glycol-based liquid through a
heating block. As a result, the fluid breaks down rapidly into a fine
smoke which is expelled at high pressure.
Once activate, the system is controlled by a special sensor which
shuts off production at a pre-determined level - and will then re-activate
as often as necessary to maintain protection at that level.
Crucially, the smoke created from the glycol mixture (itself a basic
foodstuff or food ingredient) is entirely non-toxic and therefore
harmless to people, electronics, paper and natural and man-made fibres.
The smoke will remain in the air for a considerable time, depending
on the volume of the location, amount produced and level of ventilation.
However, little or no residue is left and, once cleared of smoke, any
area is immediately re-usable.
