WG 2000 Underwater Surveillance Sonar
The WG 2000 Underwater Surveillance Sonar is currently deployed by USN, USCG, and other NATO-aligned countries.

WG 2000 Features
- Single operator control: real-time auto-detection, classification, tracking, and alert;
- Multiple deployment options: compact size allows for cost effective deployment from any platform;
- >800-meter detection range for diver delivery vehicle and divers;
- >2000-meter cabling distances: moves detection ranges out, allowing increased response times;
- Designed for easy installation with or without existing perimeter security systems;
- Easy integration: complete subsurface solution for large facility security systems. Augment with VTS, Radar, CCTV, or AIS;
- Available with steerable transmit transducer: improves detection range by automatically compensating for acoustic raybending.

Overview
MultiBeam Imaging Sensor
The WG 2000’s compact size, light weight and versatile architecture make it ideal for all acoustic imaging applications. Windows operating-system based software provides superior flexibility in sonar control, data output, and interfaces. Data recording options include storage of raw or beam formed data to JAZ or DAT drives for playback. The system’s telemetry uses either electrical or fibre optic links. Telemetry rates are variable and can accommodate a wide variety of cable lengths and bandwidths. Selectable “on-the-fly” features include user applied beam forming configurations, ping to ping averaging, preset or user-defined TVG and gain curves, and maximum resolution/maximum ping rate settings.
The WG 2000 processor is universal and can be used in conjunction with a variety of sonar heads including the 200 kHz 60, 120 and 180° and the 90 kHz, 90° head.
The WG 2000 Multibeam Imaging Sonar can be easily converted to an echo sounder with the addition of a separate transmit transducer.

Steerable Transmit Option for MultiBeam Imaging Sensor
The Steerable Transmit option for the WG 2000 MultiBeam Diver Detection Sonar consists of a titanium electronics enclosure that bolts directly to the WG 2000 sonar head, an external transmit transducer and transducer bracket.
The Steerable Transmit option provides the following enhancements to the WG 2000:
- Steerable Transmit beam;
- A narrower transmit beam in the vertical direction;
- Increased source level;
- Ability for multiple pulse type (CW, FM, and Hyperbolic FM);
- Addition of pitch, roll, heading and depth sensors.
The Steerable Transmit electronics are based upon a commercial off the shelf (COTS) transmit board in use throughout the WG 2000 family of acoustic products.
