The PX-M provides superior image resolution
for high confidence detection applications.
The 606 mm (24") wide by 506 mm (20") high
tunnel opening was specifically designed to allow
common items like infant/child safety seats,
carry-on luggage, and packages to be easily
scanned. The improved with 1536 diode X-ray
detector assembly (IXDA) provides the highest
resolution in a mid-size X-ray screening system.
The PX-M incorporates Security and Detection
Systems’ most advanced technology with dual
energy detectors, high-energy integrated X-ray
source, and the latest electronics. The advanced,
patented, touch pad operator interface provides a
simple, flexible and powerful way for the operator
to control the system and make maximum use of
the imaging information. The system’s durable
steel frame and body panels stand up to the shock
and abuse often encountered in high traffic applications.
The PX-M is designed to be networkable,
using a Windows NT™ operating system. Images
from each PX-M can be sent through a network
for further inspection, storage and printing.
The PX-M seamlessly incorporates advanced
features such as Operator Assist® (OA), Image
Archiving (IA), and Threat Image Projection (TIP).
These options enhance the functionality and security
offered by the PX-M, while providing security
managers critical data regarding the effectiveness
of the screening process.
