Westminster Group Plc Receives Warm Response to First Annual Open Day on 15th & 16th September 2009
The two-day event took place on the 4.5 acre demonstration grounds of Westminster's corporate headquarters in Banbury. The function was attended by nearly 100 clients, investors and shareholders. Guests were welcomed by Westminster staff and presented with interactive demonstrations of cutting edge security and defence systems from across all divisions of Westminster Group*.
The one-to-one format of the demonstrations allowed guests to ask in-depth questions about the latest equipment and their applications. More than 50 items from over 12 categories of security and defence systems were exhibited.
Guests were invited to walk through Westminster's unique ThruPort™ Unit, which is a rapidly deployable scanning solution designed for airports, government buildings, military bases, ports and prisons.
The BBC covered the event and aired a 2-minute segment on 15th September 2009 on the BBC Oxford Regional News. Click the video below to watch the broadcast. Presented by Jeremy Stern, (C) Copyright British Broadcasting Corporation 2009.

A sampling of the latest X-ray scanning equipment was on exhibit, including the highly-publicized B.O.S.S. (Body Orifice Security Scanner) chair, which is distributed in the UK exclusively by Westminster.
Some of the many other featured products included: X-Ray imaging technology with organic detection systems for explosives & narcotics; ground-based radar intrusion detection systems; long range surveillance and tracking systems; perimeter security systems; and pipeline security systems.
