In total, the trail featured 51,175 Christmas lights and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from those who attended.
Charity Donations
The main purpose of the event has always been to raise funds for local charities, and the proceeds from the Christmas Light Trail are being donated to Banbury Branch of Samaritans and The Rotary Club of Banbury. A smaller donation is being given to 1st Grimsbury Scouts. All of these donations have been made not only to support the local organisations but also in recognition of their invaluable support and volunteering during the event.
These organisations, alongside our own team, played a key role in helping the event run smoothly throughout.
Competition Winner
Congratulations to the winner of the Christmas light count competition, Anna Davies, who guessed 50,777 against the correct total of 51,175 lights, and correctly identified the mystery word "GINGERBREAD". Anna received this beautiful Christmas Hamper that the whole family can enjoy.
