Westminster Group are pleased to announce that our Technology Division have been awarded a contract to replace and maintain the security screening equipment at the Palace of Westminster, together with the provision of other ancillary services.
The contract commencement date is the 1 October 2020 and the duration of contract is initially for 5 years, although this may be extended.
This contract is a huge win for Westminster and an impressive boost for our UK business. The Group beat major competition to this tender and was rated highest out of all bidders, both technically and commercially.
Westminster scored the highest on the evaluation due to having the most commercially competitive proposal. The panel believed our bid was particularly strong because of our high-quality tender with added value. This contract win is a remarkable advance for our business in the UK and will help to increase our presence and prestige here in Britain.
The project includes the removal of existing systems and the installation and maintenance of new advanced X-Ray Screening and associated systems to screen people and baggage entering this iconic building, together with other ancillary services.
